From 2009 to 2018, Food for Thought was a weekly radio show on KHSU public radio. Jennifer Bell and Jessica Eden co-produce the show featuring local food producers. These 10 minute long segments were an opportunity to meet the people who bring us the food we eat in Humboldt County through radio stories. Over 300 interviews were recorded and aired. This show was dedicated to developing a relationship between the food producers and the consumer, develop an understanding and respect for the hardworking women and men in this industry, break down barriers to connecting with and buying food from local producers, and to encourage youth to consider food production as an option for their future.
