Abstract
This thesis then will strive toward two goals. The first goal is to evolve a theory which explains the therapeutic potential of wilderness adventures. The second is to determine the most major and important components of a treatment project, one which capitalizes on the therapeutic value of wilderness adventure, yet is, for the most part, community based. Pursuing these two goals will require the this thesis to have two parts.
