Abstract

This geodatabase holds the spatial data consolidated in Laird's 2020 report, Consolidation of Key Sea Level Rise Vulnerability Information for Humboldt Bay by Hydrologic Unit Humboldt Bay. See the full report on Cal Poly Humboldt’s Sea Level Rise Institute Digital Commons, which includes all figures and tables:

A Humboldt Bay region-wide spatial database of sea level rise vulnerability statistics/findings from 5 years of SLR assessments was created to facilitate prioritizing hydrologic units and/or assets for adaption planning. The consolidation was based on for the six hydrologic/hydrographic units on Humboldt Bay (Mad River Slough, Arcata Bay, Eureka Slough, Eureka Bay, Elk River Slough and South Bay). Each unit shares a common shoreline and exposure to tidal inundation. In addition to the six hydrologic units there are 24 hydrologic sub-units with shorelines consisting of diked structures.
