Abstract
The McDaniel Slough Wetland Restoration Project resulted in the restoration and enhancement of 280 acres of former coastal wetlands by reestablishing tidal brackish and salt-water habitat as well as the enhancement of freshwater wetlands and upland ecosystems. This project improved connectivity by connecting more than 1,300 acres of local, state and federally protected lands along Humboldt Bay. This document summarizes the Coastal Conservancy's Staff Recommendation and authorization to provide funding for the implementation of the project.
