Abstract
In order to' more effectively train future teachers of English in Japan and thereby strengthen these attributes, I have written a handbook to introduce the basic concepts and techniques of group reading. The technique of group reading is widely used in American speech education. However, group reading is not well known or used in the English teaching world in Japan. Therefore, the handbook describes the basic principles of group reading and the fundamental elements of its practice in a classroom.
