Abstract

Much discussion of visual rhetoric in the discipline of English composition revolves around the use of electronic media. This unbound project, through the use of reviews of scholarly research and publicly available data, examines the usually overlooked visual rhetoric inherent to compositions produced on paper, how it has been affected by technological changes and cultural shifts, and how it provides an entry point for the inclusion of visual literacy in the composition classroom.
