Abstract
Saudi Arabian students, as a group, began to study in the United States in the early 1950s. According to the Institute of International Education for One World,1 there were seventeen students at that time. Now, according to the Saudi Arabian Education Mission Resources (March, 1982), the number of students is 10,051. Most are students who have scholarships from the Saudi-Arabian Government. In this "new American life," Saudi Arabian students face problems similar to those of other foreign students as they adjust to the American life.
