My name is Forrest Estes and I am an anthropology student at Humboldt State University who has lived in Arcata for the past five years. Noah Batchman is a 21-year-old communication student at HSU. Fall of 2020 was his first year attending Humboldt State, as well as the first year he moved from his hometown of Riverside to live in Arcata.

In this interview, Noah Batchman talks about his new experience in Arcata California during Covid-19. Batchman, who moved up to Arcata in September of 2020 talks about how difficult it is being away from home for the first time, especially during a nationwide quarantine. He talks about how challenging it was when it comes to keeping up with his mental health as well as his grades in a new environment.
