Fortunato is a 23 year old student in the Applied English Master's Program at Cal Poly Humboldt. While she works on her thesis about representation of anticolorism in Children's Literature, she writes long and often about being a Chicana queer woman. While working on campus, she has had to fight to be in spaces that actively work to push her and others like her aside. She hopes to be an example one day of what it looks like to keep pushing, keep fighting, and keep her fire burning. No más silencio.
