Bio

Kylee Conriquez is an editorial illustrator and visual artist, and has her B.A. in studio art from Humboldt State University. She recently finished illustrating for a children’s book through Humboldt State University Press for writer and book designer, Sarah E. Godlin, along with designer, Alannah V. Guevara, and had so much fun creating vibrant illustrations with unique compositional perspectives. Kylee creates work in mixed media and multimedia, and recently started to create stained glass pieces. Her excitement for nature, wildlife, and speaking to her inner child comes through in her art. Although colorful and exciting, her work can also connect readers to important and serious issues. Kylee was the proud recipient of the 2020-2021 Albert and Mildred Van Duzer Art Scholarship while she was a student and hopes that she has made the committee proud thus far with the work that she has done after college. Her career is young, but she has already been a part of so many exciting projects over the years, and hopes to continue to thrive in the world of editorial illustration and art for years to come.
