Due to her current DACA status, the author goes by the pseudonym of Short Latina when publishing any work. This gives her the freedom to write without fear, allowing her to fully express herself and share her uncensored opinions. Furthermore, Short Latina runs a blog in which she has self-published many short stories, reflections and poems that speak on her experiences as an immigrant Brown woman. Her works include non-fiction and fiction alike. In addition, she is also host of a podcast, Nerdy Latinas Podcast in which she highlights the importance of storytelling.
