Bio
Blake Lavergne is a self taught artist originally from Louisiana and currently residing in California. Blake is a self taught artist creating mixed media Dark Surrealism using any tool or supply that he can get his hands on painstaking using innovative and cross hatching techniques to transmute the idea in his head onto canvas through the Alchemy that is hard work. Blake's subject matter is the worshipping of Dark Art focusing on contemplation of the human condition and death while expressing the struggle of grasping the vastness of the outward universe while trying to simultaneously cope with the inner universe that is our imagination and his art is overall used as a overall catharsis for mental illness. He Truly believes he would not be alive if it were not for his creations.
