Episode Description
G: (tape begins here) ... First of all, it was fun when you said, “Wait I have got people at the base of my tree I will call you back.” What was going on?
J: Actually, there is um, a photographer and journalist from, actually from, I think where you are calling me from, that are coming up the tree. I think they are from KHSU. I mean not KHSU, but HSU.
G: They are on their way up the tree now? How does one get up the tree?
J: Well, we have a rope, that is hung from about twenty to thirty feet below the plat form, all the way down to the ground, where I raise it and lower it. I lower it to the ground and then, our climbers or people who come to do the climbs, climb just like rock climbers. We have a harness, with ropes that are called, pressigs(?) and they attach to metal clamps called carabeaners. It basically attaches you onto this rope, and by a series of knots and loosening and tightening the knots, you climb the rope.
