About This Journal
ideaFest: Interdisciplinary Journal of Creative Works and Research from Humboldt State University is a refereed, open-access publication established to encourage scholarly conversations across the disciplines. As a complement to the Humboldt Digital Scholar archive, ideaFest seeks to enable Humboldt State University researchers to connect with audiences worldwide and efficiently communicate findings with a sense of timeliness.
The journal is an outgrowth of Humboldt State University’s IdeaFest, a day-long event which celebrates the collaborative research and creative projects of faculty and students from across campus. Participants in the event are especially welcome to submit their work to the journal. The journal is open to all members of the Humboldt State University community each year, regardless of involvement in ideaFest events.
The mission of ideaFest is:
- to promote scholarship, writing and other forms of creative production for readerships beyond the classroom at Humboldt State University, guided by the belief that publishing is an important part of interdisciplinary higher education; and
- to showcase the knowledge production and creative output of members of the Humboldt State University community.
The journal is published annually and is edited by a rotating review board of staff, faculty and students. For further information, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
