Expanding Understanding: Exploring Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Philosophy

About This Journal

Why explore?

Exploration is a process that culminates in a more nuanced or comprehensive understanding. It supplements the normative methodologies of contemporary academia by allowing for the personal, interpersonal, mystic, scientific, artistic, and avant-garde to influence and inform research, worldviews, and theses. In a world of academia that dictates what, when and how research is conducted, we believe philosophy can be a refuge for the yearning spirit of exploration and truths by allowing the most persistent and difficult questions of the human experience to be freely be explored. Exploration is a fundamental value, principle and activity of a university community. While exploring we learn and we grow--We better ourselves!

We want to see what undergraduates are exploring. As a means to grow a sense of intellectual community, submit your work to help us compile an issue that highlights how students are actively engaged in exploration. Send us analytic papers, poetry, art, art projects, short stories, etc. If your creation works to explore questions that matter, then we would be honored to share it!
