About This Journal

The Matrix is the official publication of the Women’s Resource Center which is funded by the Associated Students of Cal Poly Humboldt. The views and content of The Matrix are not censored or reviewed by AS and therefore do not necessarily reflect AS.

Because relations of domination affect all people; we at the Women’s Resource Center aim to provide the tools, support and safe spaces for empowerment and for people to dismantle systems of power, privilege and oppression. Simultaneously we are transforming our communities; as well as acknowledging and embracing diverse perspectives and strategies that promote collective visions of liberation.

At the Women's Resource Center, we have many resources for all students to take advantage of. Our resources include but are not limited to menstrual supplies, safer sex supplies, the Rosa Parks Library, and art supplies. We also put on programs and workshops in order to educate the Humboldt community as well as provide fun outlets, all of which are safe spaces for all individuals.
