Who Can Submit?

Anyone may submit an original article to be considered for publication in csuglobaljournal as long as the author(s) own the copyright to the work being submitted or is authorized by the copyright owner or owners to submit the article. Authors are the initial owners of the copyrights to their works (an exception in the non-academic world to this might exist if the authors have, as a condition of employment, agreed to transfer copyright to their employer).

csuglobaljournal encourages submissions from a wide community of practitioners from a broad range of disciplines, professions, and fields including but not limited to college and university faculty, graduate students and administrators.

Sections and Genres Accepted

csuglobaljournal welcome reports, policies, position statements, essays, organizing and advocacy toolkits, photographs, photographic essays, social science research, original art, and reviews in print and multimedia formats. Artifacts and artworks should be accompanied by an introduction or forward, explaining the context of the work and helping the audience of csuglobaljournal understand the relevance of the piece to the aims of the journal.

Authors submitting work are responsible for securing and archiving any human subjects permissions pertaining to their research. Authors may be asked to provide copies of these permissions to the editors.

Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis and should be 2,500 – 4,000 words in length - not including abstract, notes and citations.

Editorial Process

Promising manuscripts will be reviewed by at least two Associate Editors and in keep with our goal of interdisciplinarity, one editor will be from the theme to which the author submitted their work as well as a second editor from a different part of the journal. Reviewers comment on an article’s strengths and weaknesses, provide suggestions to authors, and make general recommendations about publication. The editors consider manuscript review comments, append them to the originally submitted manuscript, and return them to the submitting author along with additional guidance as appropriate.

Formatting Requirements - csuglobaljournal

Through the submission management system, attach supplementary files (e.g., tables, figures, audio clips, video clips, data) in an appropriate file format. Please do not embed audio and video or multimedia files in the Word document; these should be sent as separate files, though the Word document may refer to them.

Whenever possible use italics, rather than underlining, to indicate text you wish to emphasize (or text from a language other than English). The use of color to emphasize text is discouraged.
