Abstract
This presentation will explore the history of detention centers (concentration camps) in the US and the nuances which have put undocumented QTPOC at risk. The inhumane misgendering of trans womxn, which often places them in “male” detention centers, leads to high rates of physical and psychological abuse. Our presentation will discuss the conditions trans people face in detention centers (concentration camps) while also addressing ways to support them. We will provide a call to action for the audience in order for them to take part in the movement and make a change.
