Abstract
The objective of this body of work is to demonstrate competence as a school psychologist. A school psychologist must be proficient in ten domains, which are outlined by Humboldt State University's School Psychology Program. The Humboldt State University School Psychology Department developed the ten domains of competence by reviewing and aligning state and national standards. Products in this portfolio were created through direct work with students who were experiencing difficulty at home, school, and/or in the community. Students were referred for psychological services by parents, teachers, and administrators. Selected products demonstrate best practices in school psychology. Products in this portfolio illustrate the full range of skills acquired during professional experience to provide comprehensive school psychological services. In addition, they exhibit competence in all ten domains of knowledge and practice. Products selected during the internship year show data-driven impact that demonstrate the interventions and services provided have enhanced the students' ability to function more effectively. The significance of this body of work is the documented change and positive outcome observed in each student's life. Although the outcomes were not ideal in each product, each student made positive growth. Students were given tools, resources, and opportunities that were not in place before the psychological services were provided. Each student has grown in academics and social-emotional well-being since receiving psychological services.
