The rig up crew consisted of a hook tender, (Ten Minute Johnson) high climber, head rigger, and six or seven other riggers. Also included was an engineer. They went into a new landing to "rig up" the necessary guy lines, blocks and boom. This was done after the site was determined, the "spar tree" topped and trimmed by the high climber and his helper, and the railroad construction crew had a spur line to the spot. The high climber returned to put the blocks and lines up the spar tree. || In case it is not clear, "Ten Minute" Johnson is the name of the high climber, as that's how fast he could climb up the tree [NS/2009]Boyle, Wm & Katie
