Comments

Logs were temporarily unloaded from trucks, a load for the railroad was chosen and loaded, empty trucks circled to trailer loader and another truck was unloaded. Rail cars were loaded, an empty rail car was uinhooked to roll to the reload, and gravity took the loaded one away. Employees involved included rail "car dropper," head loader, 3 second loaders, loading engineer, and truck trailer loader. And, of course, truck drivers to bring in the loaded trucks and drive away the empties. Periodically a train was sent to Samoa. Bob Baldwin ran the "loading pot" and "Barney" was head loader.Boyle, Wm & Katie
